This vintage pair is truly the most exquisitely done embroidery work I have ever seen. Despite being behind glass the depth and texture makes you reach out to touch the fabric.The first piece depicts a green cottage door with flowers spilling over the top and numerous flowers on each side, each with it's own color and texture. The second piece depicts the cottage garden with arbor and lily pond. Again the texture is amazing! The photo's simply cannot adequately show the beauty of these pieces. There is no staining or damage. They are in there original frames and backing has deteriorated is some areas and will need to be replaced. I have not dismantled the frames. Each frame measures 11x13 inches. Mat is one inch and embroidery area is 7&1/2 x 9&1/2 inches. I do not know actual measurement of embroidery under the backing. These one of a kind beauties are a must have!
